Homer's Car

Im Cooper Journal ist ein kurzer aber ganz lustiger Beitrag zum Thema... Personas (wer hätte das gedacht, wa?) erschienen: The parable of The Homer.

The moral is of course that designing for almost any single individual runs a huge risk of building a product around personal idiosyncrasies — the things that are different about that person, which is a lot different than designing for personas or user archetypes where the goal is to make decisions focused on the commonalities between members of the intended audience.

Alan Cooper (nicht der Autor des obigen Artikels) hat in seinen Büchern The Inmates Are Running the Asylum: Why High-tech Products Drive Us Crazy and How to Restore the Sanity und About Face 3.0: The Essentials of Interaction Design das Konzept der Personas in die UX Community eingeführt.
